WTA performs formation and opposing aerobatics in WWII era T-6/SNJ aircraft that have great physical presence that excites the crowd. We are more than twice the size of most airshow aircraft, bringing incredibly distinctive radial engine sound coupled with big & beautiful smoke.
TWILIGHT AIRSHOWS have exciting LED lighting mounted in the engine cowling, on the wingtips and a fiery effect illuminated on the smoke trail.
After our performance we bring unique “baseball style” cards to the spectators line and engage for pictures, questions & promotion.
BONUS: Warbird Thunder can provide a single ship performance or an opening teaser act. We can also “Circle The Jumpers”during the opening ceremony as well as “race” cars and jet-trucks.
REQUIREMENTS
Lodging & Transportation:
- 3 hotel rooms
- 1 rental car (mid-size or larger)
Oil & Fuel:
- 35 total gallons of smoke oil per performance
- 30 total gallons of AVGAS per performance & full fuel for departure
- 4 total gallons of Phillips 25-60 radial engine oil
Warbird Thunder typically arrives the afternoon prior to rehearsal day and departs after the airshow if weather and daylight permit. Otherwise, departure is the day after the airshow.
Overnight storage: Hanger storage is appreciated but not required.
